St. Catherine's church was opened in 1878. The parish church, at Llangwm, was closed some years ago, and services for the parish are now conducted in St. Catherine's church. The church was in Denbighshire until 1974; and in Clwyd from 1974 until 1996. It is now in Conwy County Borough.
