The ancient parish comprised the townships of Trellan, Trebwll, Tre Trallwyn, Tre Deunant and Pen y Rhos. The church was rebuilt in 1839, and restored in 1908. The church was in Denbighshire until 1974; and in Gwynedd from 1974 until 1996. It is now in Conwy County Borough.
