The ancient parish comprises the townships of Coedrwg, Maesyrychen (or Llanegwestl), Llandynnan, Cymo Deuparth, and Cymo Traean. St. Tysilio's church was mentioned in the Lincoln Taxation of 1291. It was rebuilt in 1869. The church was in Denbighshire until 1974; and in Clwyd from 1974 until 1996. It is now in "new" Denbighshire.
