Penycae - St. Thomas

The parish of Penycae was created on 28 October 1879, from portions of the parishes of Ruabon, Rhosllanerchrugog, and Rhosymedre.

St. Thomas's church was consecrated on 6 December 1878.

The church was in Denbighshire until 1974; and in Clwyd from 1974 until 1996.

It is now in Wrexham County Borough.
