The Gwersyllt War Memorial commemorates those local people who died in World War I and World War II. The memorial stands at the junction of Wheatsheaf Lane and Old Mold Road in Gwersyllt. The design of the memorial was decided by competition in 1922, and was won by the English sculptor Joseph Hermon Cawthra.

Gwersyllt is a village and community in the County Borough of Wrexham. Until 1974 the area was part of the historic county of Denbighshire and, between 1974 and 1996, part of the county of Clwyd. The community also includes the villages of Summerhill, Bradley, Rhosrobin, Pandy, Sydallt and Highfield.
