The Ruthin War Memorial commemorates those local people who died in World War I and World War II. The memorial, in Wynnstay Road in the centre of the town, takes the form of an ornately carved high standing Celtic Cross of grey granite, backed by a wall of local red sandstone.

Ruthin (Welsh: Rhuthun) is a community, and the county town, of Denbighshire and is located around a hill in the southern part of the Vale of Clwyd. The ancient parish of Ruthin contained the two townships of Cae'r Fallen and Tre'r Castell. Between 1974 and 1996 the area was part of the county of Clwyd.
