The Weston Rhyn War Memorial commemorates those men and women from the area who were killed in World War I and World War II. The memorial takes the form of a standing stone Celtic Cross with four stone seats forming the base. It stands outside the Weston Rhyn Institute.

A brass plaque in St. John's Parish Church commemorate a soldier who died in the Boer War.
The border village of Weston Rhyn lies in the county of Shropshire in England but had strong connections with the historic county of Denbighshire across the border in Wales. The parish of Weston Rhyn was created in 1870, out of the ancient parish of St. Martin's, and was made up of the townships of Weston Rhyn and Bronygarth. Both of these townships bordered Wales, with the River Ceiriog forming the border.
The parish of Weston Rhyn was part of the Welsh Diocese of St Asaph until 1922 when it was transferred to the English Diocese of Litchfield.
