The former county of Clwyd was created in 1974 by merging the historic counties of Flintshire, most of Denbighshire and the eastern part of Merionethshire.

Members of the Clwyd Family History Society have photographed, transcribed and researched the majority of the War Memorials in the former county, and some just across the border. The work is continuing.

These records contain the names of those who are listed on the local War Memorials.
