Hanmer War Memorial

Hanmer

The Hanmer War Memorial commemorates those men from the area who were killed in conflict throughout the world. The war memorial, designed by Gilbert Scott, stands in the grounds of St. Chad's Parish Church. Inside the church there is a memorial to a soldier from the Boer War.

Hanmer is a village in the rural Maelor in the County Borough of Wrexham, on the border with England. Until 1974 the area was part of historic Flintshire and between 1974 and 1996 part of the county of Clwyd.
