Llangollen

An photo of the River Dee at Llangollen around 1890. Across the river, and to the left, is Llangollen Station, on the Ruabon to Barmouth line. Castell Dinas Brân stands high above on the hill. The old tower can been seen on the north end of the bridge. The white building on the river is the Corn Mill.  The embankment along the south bank of the river was yet to be built! "This town is especially dear to me because my ancestor, Thomas Jones, ran the Bache Mill late-1700s/early-1800s ". (Contributed by Graham Price)

Probably the Annual "Maid of the Vale" parade. The "Woman Wanted" film, which is being advertised on the Dorothy Cinema hoarding was an American film released in 1935. Local girl Barbara Coward was the Maid of the Vale at the age of 19, in 1933. (Thanks to Quentin Spurring for the information).
