Penycae School - c1897/98
"This is a school photo of Penycae children. I am told that this would be the National or Church School, which preceded the County School in the village. It was probably taken about 1897/8. My grandmother, Beatrice Williams, is second from left in the front row and she was born 1893. I think she was probably aged about 5 years in the photo. Her older sister, Sally Williams, is at the centre of the row behind her, in a pale coloured dress. Can the other girls be identified?" (Contributed by Jo Perkins).
